Bristol Residential Project - loft extension envelope

The challenge:

The owners of this new dormer loft extension in Bristol wanted total waterproofing along with a contemporary look. They knew that pure polyurea would provide peace of mind and a maintenance-free finish - the ultimate weatherproofing solution.

The solution:

Arriving at site, the loft space had been clad in OSB3 timber, ready for final preparation to begin. We made minor repairs, filling small holes and seams in the timber, in addition to sanding the boarding to provide the smoothest possible finish. Specially developed fast-drying Prokol primer was hand-applied to seal all areas, ready to receive the final coating. Prokol pure polyurea was then spray-applied to 2.5mm DFT, sealing the roof and elevations, as well as lapping to the original roof and strengthening and sealing the existing chimney stack. This final membrane with dry within seconds, leaving it ready for any weather. A 30 year manufacturer/workmanship warranty was issued to the homeowners, who were thrilled with the clean look and seamless, watertight finish. 

 

Southampton Residential Project - wet room tanking

The challenge:

When the homeowner of this property embarked on creating a wet room, they 

knew polyurea would be ideal for a completely waterproof tanking detail. The polyurea coating was designed to contain water from the shower whilst preventing any damp ingress from the water table below. 

The solution:

The shower area had been cast in concrete and left to cure. We primed the area with specialist products and sprayed the area in pure polyurea. Repairs were made to the surface at this point to ensure that no blemishes would affect the performance of the final waterproofing membrane. The area received another two spray-applied layers of polyurea to create a watertight tanking detail perfect for water containment. The area was tested for any leaks before being handed back to the client for tiling the wetroom ready for use. 

 

Bristol Residential Project - colour-specified dormer loft extension

The challenge:

This new loft dormer, destined for an additional bedroom to the property, needed total waterproofing and a colour-specified coating to ensure zero maintenance for the decades ahead. 

The solution:

Our pure polyurea waterproof coating encapsulated the entire loft dormer extension of this house in one simple process. Once the OSB boarding was in place, we were called in to prepare the extension with specialist primers. Following polyurea spray-application of the main waterproofing membrane, the client specified a polyaspartic, RAL-matched, UV stable colour topcoat. This means no painting required for the product lifespan and peace of mind for the client, with a 30 year warranty upon completion.  

 

 

Bristol Residential Project - single-storey extension

The challenge:

This pair of semi-detached houses in Bristol were undergoing striking kitchen extensions to the rear of the properties. A flat roof deck had been installed across the two houses, with stunning roof lanterns to flood the interior of each property with daylight. The homeowners were keen to access the roof deck in order to keep the roof lanterns clean and sparkling, therefore the roof membrane needed to be aesthetically pleasing, watertight and trafficable. 

The solution:

We had no hesitation in recommending Prokol pure polyurea 136-T – perfect for installing directly to the insulated roof. Masking the roof lantern apertures and surrounding walls, we spray-applied the pure polyurea membrane to the field area of the roof, sealing upstands and terminating seamlessly to create a tidy and impermeable roof. Dry after 10 seconds, this membrane was trafficable almost immediately. A 30 year warranty brings the homeowners peace of mind for years to come. 

 

Bristol Residential Project - link room

The challenge:

This Bristol home had a detached garage which had been converted into a home office. A link room between office and house was created and eco sw was chosen to coat the flat roof with Prokol Pure Polyurea for a superior application and long-lasting finish.

The solution:

The newly built flat roof was boarded and sealed to maintain a tidy finish when the Pure Polyurea was spray-applied, following priming. The seamless finish resulted in an smart overall look for the building and a completely maintenance-free roof.

 

London Residential Project - basement tanking

The challenge:

The occupants of this central London residence had experienced a leak in their basement flat due to a burst water main and required a completely water and damp-proof, neatly finished tanked area. With our professional and careful approach, eco sw was recommended for the project.

The solution:

Our compact spraying rigs, operating from our vehicles, are highly suitable for residential projects where space is limited. We took time to prepare the work zone properly, completely sealing and protecting the area outside application, then efficiently prepared, primed and sprayed the area with Prokol Pure Polyurea. The basement storage area was quickly restored to use once our operatives had left the site.
